Made from U.S. No. 2 corn · farmer-owned

Every bottle protects
the land that grows it.

No. 2 is a water bottle made from field corn — the same No. 2 yellow dent corn that covers the Midwest. And it's owned by the people who drink it. The more you buy, the more you own.

No. 2 single-use water bottle made from corn

Not another plastic bottle.
A corn bottle.

Most water bottles come from petroleum. Ours come from the field. We make them from PLA — a plant-based material derived from corn starch — using the same U.S. No. 2 yellow corn that farmers across the Midwest grow every year. Renewable at the source, and it keeps your money in the farm economy instead of the oil economy.

01

Grown here

Made from U.S. No. 2 corn — the backbone crop of the American Midwest. Your bottle has a home address: the field.

02

Owned by you

No. 2 is a farmer-owned cooperative. Buy on subscription, and you become a member — with patronage that grows the more you buy. The more you buy, the more you own.

03

Honest about what it is

Plant-based, not petroleum. And we'll say it straight: it's industrially compostable where facilities exist — not "biodegrades anywhere." We lead with the truth: it's made from corn.

The Bottle

Planted, not pumped.

A single-use bottle with a difference: it starts as field corn, not crude oil. Cold, clean water in a container that grows back.

"We grow the corn. We drink the water. Might as well own the bottle too."

How Ownership Works

Buy the bottle.
Become a member-owner.

1

Become a member

Subscribe to No. 2 and you're a co-op member — one member, one vote, no matter how big or small.

2

Buy. Earn. Own.

Every case you buy builds your patronage. At year's end, profits flow back to members in proportion to what they bought.

3

The more you buy, the more you own

Patronage isn't a gimmick — it's the century-old co-op model that built rural America. Your share grows with your support.

No. 2 is structured as a farmer-owned consumer cooperative. Membership = patronage, not stock speculation.

Straight answers.

Yes — from PLA, a plant-based material derived from corn starch. We source from U.S. No. 2 yellow dent corn, the field corn that covers the Midwest.

It's industrially compostable — meaning it breaks down in a commercial composting facility, where such facilities exist (and they may not be in your area). We say it plainly rather than claim it "biodegrades anywhere," because that's the honest truth.

No. 2 is a cooperative. Members buy on subscription and earn patronage proportional to their purchases — profits return to members at year's end. It's the same model grain co-ops have used for generations. More you buy, more you own.

No. This is a cold-water bottle. PLA softens under heat, so it's built for cold, clean water — not coffee. We'd rather tell you that upfront than have a bottle fail on you.
